Real Time Update
In Cairo now after a red-eye flight from Nairobi and killing time before we hop on our 12 hour train ride to Aswan to then catch our cruise back up the Nile to spend five more days in Cairo before heading home.
*deep breath*
In that short time period the airlines had managed to lose Pat and Robb’s bags, we had to find our way to the train station and run around to ten different counters in the crazy heat to buy our tickets without getting too ripped off, try and fail (and in the process walk around in a circle for 30 minutes) to find a place to store our bags for the rest of the day, and then run to get Pat and Robb some clothes to wear on the Cruise as they’re bag-less (and thus clothes-less) until at least August 8th.
Still, I can already tell we are going to absolutely love Cairo.
It doesn’t look like there’s internet on the Cruise, but I’ll be back on when I’m able. I mostly wanted to write now to ask for your opinion:
Obviously the blog is about a week behind where we actually are in time. I can continue posting the back-log of entries with a day by day play when I can, or I can just try to coble together a couple pieces with the highlights to rush it up to where we are now. Does anyone have any opinions on that? I’d really like to make it as interesting and fun as possible, but the limited amount of time I’ve had with the internet has made that difficult. And, I don’t want to write up a bunch of stuff about the past if no one wants to read. So, comment with your suggestion if you would!
