Going M.I.A. again
While I’d love to continue trying to update the story through Tanzania, whatever I have left will have to be put on hold for a bit.
Tomorrow the three of us will be heading up to the Masai Mara, the park in Kenya connected to the Serengeti. Originally we wanted to do both parks, but a series of situations have caused us to make the choice to do only one (the great migration has almost all moved into the Masai at this point, there is no way to cross the border between the two parks if you are not East African, etc.)
We’ll be camping and spending time in the park for at least two full days and three nights, so hopefully we can see plenty of animals. After that it’s straight to Nairobi for a grand total of 6 hours, drop off the car, catch a 2am flight to Cairo, spend a few hours in Cairo, take a night train to Aswan, and then in the morning get on our four day cruise up the Nile and back to Luxor, and then back again to Cairo for five days for the end of the trip.
If I find any way to get internet access I will try and update whatever I can. Until then, we’re off on an adventure.
